10.) Get a logo and print it on a t-shirt for your friends and family to wear! Musicians get most if their revenue through clothing sales versus CD sales.

9.) Record a CD. Sell these at your concerts, starting at a low price. Find out what other musicians in the same playing field as you are selling for and base your price around your closest competition. 

8.) Get gigs. Playing shows is the greatest way of starting off your music career. It gives you experience, increased amount of fans, exposure and visibility, and sometimes important contacts that could help launch you to fame. Make sure you stay in contact with important people you meet; there could be talent scouts around. Sometimes these gigs can pay money per show or based on ticket sales. So do some research and find out about local venues in your area to start to play at. It doesn't hurt to try.
